Kennedy Town
In 2009, I spent a month in Kennedy Town, Hong Kong Island, on holiday with my Hong Kongese girlfriend to meet her family—my first visit to HK. It was a time of change, with more mainland Chinese settling in, rapidly transforming the area. As a photography student, I captured this personal journey through a cinematic documentary and artistic photography lens, using a small point-and-shoot ‘tin camera’ and mostly outdated film, resulting in distinct colour casts. This early project features photos of people, places, buildings, and the captivating daily life of HK. Continue to the next series of pictures.
